Ko-Koro Kempo Salutation
Two palms held together in a prayer-like position is to unite
the mind, body, and spirit as one. This, my friends is called DISCIPLINE.
The right hand rolls inward into a fist, to display the
outer knuckles of war. The left hand is placed palm down at a 45 degree angle to cover the outer knuckles of war with the inner knuckles of peace.
The inner knuckles of peace shall always cover the outer knuckles of war, unless pushed, shoved, or provoked into the protection
of loved ones. At that time teh outer knuckles of war will overide the inner knuckles of peace and proctection shall take
place. This, my friends is called HONOR.
Both hands open at
45 degree angles with palms facing out. This forms the shape of a mountain. The thumbs
will cross at a lower 45 degree angle to create a window with a panoramic view. The mountain we will
all climb as we are a family. The panoramic view is to see the good and beauty in all of mankind. This, my friends is called RESPECT.
"Courage doesn't always roar, sometimes courage is the small voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow."
